Harbor of Light -A Meditative Sculpture from Reclaimed Wood & Ceramic Bowl, Symbolizing the Journey to Inner Peace
【Arrival at Your Inner Harbor】
This is a contemplative object rooted in Eastern philosophy. The main body, crafted from a 1987 chair back, is shaped into the wave of time. A humble 1980s ceramic bowl is embedded within, becoming the boat that crosses the sea of mind.
Three fragments of aged tile outline the spiritual shore. When the LED candle within the bowl is lit, it symbolizes the boat “fully loaded with time”, its warm glow representing the fulfillment and joy upon arrival.
Through minimal forms, this piece explores the deeper meaning of “arrival”—that the true harbor is inner peace and contentment. A Zen object for meditation, it brings tranquility and introspection to modern spaces.
